2024 GOALS?

What are your 2024 goals (not resolutions)? And what is your plan to accomplish them?

 

Tips for behavior change:

1.       Start out with an outcome based goal. Example: To lose 20 pounds.

2.       Establish a behavior based on a goal to reach your outcome. Example: What do you have to do to lose 20 pounds? Behavior: exercise 3x/week; adding a protein or veggie to your meals; etc… These are the strategies to accomplish the outcome goal.

3.       Take action: Set your intention, prepare for obstacles, and habit stack.

4.       Evaluate how it is going before adding new behaviors (consistency).

5.       Determine your next behavior, which can be working on the same behavior but more challenging or a new one.

 

Work on small behaviors which will stack up to the larger goal; get your wins!


Work on behaviors that are doable and realistic!  Do not overhaul your whole lifestyle.  This is unsustainable and probably won’t last more than a few weeks (ex: crazy new restrictive diet or working out 7 days a week when you didn’t work out before).


If you are having difficulty, then scale the change.  Its ok to change it into even smaller steps. The point is to make the goal probable.

 

Set yourself up for success from the start.  Think about your why and steps to achieve your big goal.


Make your goals small and attainable! Your small wins lead to big changes! Accomplishments give you the sense of winning and motivation to keep going and achieving the next goal.
